


Zoom offers a few default image options to choose from, but it also allows you to upload your own image. Here are some free virtual background images that you can try for your next Zoom meeting. During a Zoom meeting, click the ^ arrow next to Stop Video and click Choose Virtual Background…to change or turn off your Zoom background. Freaky! Ideally, you want a solid green colour or failing that, vivid blue. Make sure you don’t use neutrals, especially white, as it will pick up the whites of your eyes as part of the background. If you’re manually selecting a colour from your background to use as a ‘green screen’ you will need to have a clean, solid colour behind you. In this case, you’ll need to use a green screen, or tell Zoom what colour to use from your real-life background as your makeshift green screen. If it doesn’t then you’ll only see your file on parts of your background and you may receive a pop up advising that your computer doesn’t meet requirements. Select your uploaded file and it should automatically fill your background in the video preview screen. You’ll then be able to upload your file and check it works. The first thing you need to do is upload your background file.
